Grandmama and Grandaddy came to visit for Clay's 31st birthday. They babysat the kids so we could have an overnight date to celebrate. We spent the night at the EOInn and Spa on Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. It was great spendning time with Clay...we needed a vacation!!!

Grandmama got to bond with Lyla Grace while Mason and Granddaddy got to catch up on some TV time.

Thanks Bill and Melinda!!! We love you!

Precious Girl!!

Lyla Grace has been a busy girl this month. She turned her cute army scooting into a crawl...I forgot how fast they can move.

She started pulling up and finally made it to a standing position about a week later.

Last week she started clapping after putting a Cheerio in her mouth. Now she claps anytime we say "Yeah". I will admit she won't be cheerleading anytime soon but she sure does have the spirit.
It is so much fun having another girl around the house. She is as fiesty and moody as her mother...Mason has no idea what he is in for.

What a big boy!!!!

Mason went to the doctor today for his 3 year well checkup. He weighed 39 lbs. and is 40 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 100 percentile for weight and height. Dr. Coffman said he is all muscle. He was such a sweet boy at his visit and Dr. Coffman complimented him on his smile...which quickly turned to a look of panic when Dr. Coffman mentioned he needed to get his Hepatitis A vaccine shot. He didn't cry though...he just wanted his lollipop.
The past couple weeks Mason has really been interested in Fireman Sam (a show on PBS about a fireman that saves the day). He pretends to call Fireman Sam (on the broken cell phone Grandmama gave him) and tells him, "Fireman Sam it's Mason, come save the day!". It is so much fun to watch him play...very entertaining for Clay and I.
Although Mason keeps us on our toes we are so proud of the sweet little boy God has blessed us with.

8 years!!!!

Clay and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary this week. It seems just like yesterday Clay swept me off my feet when I walked through the door of Outback Steakhouse. I never imagined how great life could be. God blessed us with a wonderful family...we give him all of the glory!!! I love you, Clay!!!!!

A Trial Run

Clay took Mason to the high school All American football game at Disney to see how he could handle a live sporting event. Clay has high hopes that Mason will be able to sit through an Auburn game in the Fall.

Mason had a great time at the game...he watched the entire first half. He felt like such a big kid hanging out with his daddy. After the first half they played football in a field beside the game. Mason was catching and throwing the ball...daddy was very proud!!!
