After Party

After all of the eventful festivities we spent some time enjoying Mason's candy!! Mason finally tried M&M's and he was still talking about them right before he went to sleep. I am going to have to be the M&M monitor for a couple days. At dinner tonight Clay reminded me of how happy we are when it is just the 4 of us. We don't have to have a big production to enjoy life. It is such a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful family!!!!

Halloween Night 2007

The beginning of the night started out pretty rough. We ventured out to our churches Fall Festival. Mason had only taken a 45 minute nap so as we were driving I told Clay maybe this wasn't such a good idea...we should've turned around at that point and gone home. But wanting to try to force our agenda on Mason we decided to try and go.We only stayed about 30 minutes before leaving. Mason doesn't do to well in large crowds (to tell you the truth Clay and I don't either) and there were hundreds of people crammed into an extremely small area. While we were driving home we realized this couldn't be the end to our highly anticipated fun Halloween night. When all us fails in the Rein family we eat...off to Moe's we went. Mason was happy, Clay was happy, and Lyla Grace was fast asleep. What more could a mom ask for. After dinner we took Mason to a few houses to trick or treat. Our neighbor Gina was happy to be the 1st house Mason visited. He thought ringing someones door for candy was really cool.

Mason's Halloween Party

Clay and I went to Mason's preschool Halloween party today. Mason had a fun time showing us his class and all of his friends. Lyla Grace had a fun time watching everything and grabbing at whatever she could get with her "grabby hands".

Auburn vs Ole Miss

Clay and I had a great weekend. Allicyn and Dwight came to visit and we all drove up to the game. Mason and Lyla Grace stayed home with Grandmama. It was a beautiful day to tailgate...the perfect gameday weather 70 and sunny. WAR EAGLE...Hey!!

Lyla Gracie can sit up!!

It isn't long before she face plants or starts to chew on her toes. Her flexibility is amazing!
We took her to her 6 month Dr. visit yesterday. She weighs 18 lbs. 12 oz. (95%) and is 27 5/8 inches (100%). Her ears were totally clear and Dr. Coffmann said it didn't even look like she ever had an ear infection...Hooray!!

Mason is so sweet!!!

Mason is such a sweet big brother. He repeatedly says, "Lyla Grace is sooo cute!!!" He loves to get her toys to play with and make her laugh with his silly little noises. It is so much fun to watch them interact with each other.
Mason has the funniest sayings:
"That's for older kids." When he doesn't want to play with something.
"I can't believe it!" Just being silly!
"See you next week!" When Clay leaves for work.
"My buddy pups!" When referring to Cassius and Frasier.
We have so much fun laughing with him and wondering what he will say next!!!

Fun with Nanna

Nanna came to town...YIPPEE!! Mason had so much fun playing with her. They painted a pumpkin, looked at dinosaurs on the computer and played at the park. Mason woke up from his nap after she left and cried, "I want my Nanna!!" It is so nice to have her here but so hard to say goodbye!

Family Fun

Now that it's not so hot we have started taking our nightly walks again. We stop at the park by our house and the kids swing and play on the playground. Mason loves it and it makes the pups happy too. Last night Lyla Grace rode in the stroller like a big girl. Mason really liked being able to talk to her while we were walking.

Are you ready for some football?

Mason is...his Auburn football Halloween costume arrived today. He told me "This helmet is for big kids." That is his new saying for the week. He says it about everything. I am not sure who is more excited about Mason being a football player...Clay maybe?

Lyla Gracie is 6 months

We can't believe Lyla Gracie (Mason gave her the nickname) is already 6 months. These past 6 months have been so exciting and busy. Another tooth popped up today...so now she has 2 on the bottom. She is eating solids (bananas, pears, applesauce, and prunes) and loving it. Today we tried carrots and green beans...not so much. She has had 3 ear infections and we are hoping this round of antibiotics clears it up. When we took her to the Dr. to check her ears last week she weighed 18 lbs 2 oz. I am anxious to see how tall she is when we go next week for her 6 month check up. Even though she has an ear infection she never acts fussy and sleeps through the night without a peep. She brings so much joy to our lives!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We met some friends at the Pumpkin Patch today. Mason helped me pick out a pumpkin to carve when Nanna comes to visit this weekend. It is hard to think about Fall when it was 90 degrees in sunny Orlando.

We L-O-V-E Grandmama and Aunt Leslie

We made cupcakes with The Cake Lady aka Aunt Leslie...Mason had so much fun. We also made Lyla Grace the prettiest pink (of course b/c there is no other color) blanket sponsored by Aunt Leslie. It was sad to see them leave this morning. As they were driving off Mason said "I miss Grandmama!"
